Continuing Education Classes
Employees receive instructional fee remission twice per calendar year for non-credit courses at the Metro College Workforce Development & Continuing Education. Employee spouses and children are eligible for one fee remission per calendar. Contact the Metro College for a list of available classes. (330)941-3000.
Employees are encouraged to take advantage of the wide variety of entertainment and sporting events offered through the University. Discounts are offered for the theater and athletic events at 50%. Employees also receive a 20% discount for purchases at the University Bookstore.
Parking permits are provided to all employees for convenient access parking in University lots.
Sick Leave Conversion/Payoff
Eligible employees who retire from the University with at least 10 years of service may receive a portion of their accrued and unused sick leave in a lump sum upon their retirement. Calculations are outlined in the individual bargaining agreements.
Employees receive remission of both instructional and general fees, including out-of-state fees for up to 18 semester hours per academic year and 6 semester hours each Summer Term. Spouse and children also receive remission for instructional fees, including out-of-state fees. Children are eligible to receive the benefit to the end of the academic year in which they reach age 25. An academic year runs from summer session through the spring session of the following year.
