In an effort to provide an efficient level of service, the Office of Human Resources has initiated a procedure to facilitate the viewing of Employee Personnel Files.
The following procedure is established:
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements and the University Guidebook Policy, Employees may examine their own file during regular business hours. Employees wishing to view their personnel files should contact the Manager, Processing and Employee Records in the Office of Human Resources to schedule a time convenient to both the employee and the Office of Human Resources for viewing purposes. Every effort will be made to ensure this is accomplished in a timely manner.
Faculty Members who wish to inspect their own personnel file to ensure that it includes all pertinent information relative to Promotion and/or Tenure will be required to follow the above procedure.
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, all persons who review candidates for the Tenure and/or Promotion process may continue to have access to these files during the time periods associated with the Tenure and/or Promotion processes without the necessity of scheduling an appointment.
