*University Housing is available on an academic year basis only. YSU does not offer housing by semesters.
** The $200 Security Deposit must be paid prior to the first semester of residency in order to guarantee a room. The security deposit is only refundable to those students who complete a full year in University Housing. A refund will be issued (minus any damages) once a student has completed a full academic year and the proper room checkout procedure has been completed. The security deposit will not be refunded to those who decide not to attend Youngstown State University or not to reside in University Housing for a full year.
