SPINNING Certification

Description: This comprehensive workshop will give you all the tools you need to become a certified SPINNING instructor and lead your own classes in any of the 35,000+ Official SPINNING Facilities worldwide. When you sign up, you'll receive the SPINNING Instructor Manual for use as reference during your class, the SPINNING Instructor Assessment and more. Upon completion of the orientation, you will be eligible to take the Assessment test online at your convenience. Certification is active for two years from the date of orientation and, with continuing education, can be maintained for a lifetime. Bring your gear and be ready for two great rides led by a SPINNING Master Instructor. Workshop time (including two rides and a lunch break) is nine hours. As a bonus—all Orientation participants receive a complimentary SPIN® Membership effective the date you register and expires six months after your Orientation (a $99 value). NETA Group Exercise Certification

Description: Obtaining a NETA Group Exercise Instructor certification demonstrates to potential employers your commitment to the profession and is valid for two years from the date of issue. Our interactive study program takes you step-by-step through everything you need to become an effective instructor. You will gain the knowledge to create amazing classes for your clients.

NETA CEC: Body Weight Training

Description: Never underestimate the value of your own body in developing great total body strength!!! Your body is a piece of equipment you can never lose or forget at home. It can be used when space is limited, if you are outdoors, or as a great tool when you have no other equipment. In this course you will discover fun ways to create total body workouts that focus on the 8 primal movement patterns. Develop workouts that improve cardiovascular fitness, total body strength, and core stability simply using your own body weight. Come unleash the power of your own body!

NETA Personal Trainer Certification

Online Examination Information
Youngstown State University is a hosting site for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) & American College on Sports and Medicine (ACSM) Online Examinations. All examinations are offered in the Comprehensive Testing Center, located in Meshel Hall.
