Penguin Xing, serves as the campus information center and provides directions and general information about the YSU campus and upcoming events. YSU Info also serves as the campus lost & found, registers students for campus locker rentals, and provides estimates for Kilcawley Resume and Typing Service. A fax service is also available and includes international faxing. Those students needing immunization vaccinations make the Penguin Xing counter their first stop to pay for their shots prior to scheduling an appointment with the Student Health Clinic.
YSU Info offers a FAX Service at our counter. You may send or receive local, long distance, or International faxes. Prices are listed below. Cash, check, or Pete’s Points accepted. No credit/debit cards are accepted at this time. Fax number 330-941-1998.

The Penguin Xing counter is the first stop for students who wish to receive a vaccination on campus at the Mercy Health Student Health Center.
Students must visit the Penguin Xing counter and pay for their immunization shot. Cash, check, credit card, and Pete’s Points are accepted. Once payment has been made students will receive a payment receipt which must be presented at the Mercy Health Student Health Center at their scheduled vaccination appointment time.
For a list of available immunizations and current costs or to schedule an appointment for your vaccination, call the Mercy Health Student Health Center at 330.941.3489. You may also stop in the Mercy Health Student Health Center located on the first floor of Kilcawley Residence Hall or email the YSU nurses at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lockers are rented for one academic year for $25.00.
Lockers are located in Cushwa, Bliss, and Moser Halls.
Current students and entering freshman may rent a campus locker at the Penguin Xing counter located on the upper level of the Center. Campus lockers are located in Cushwa, Bliss, and Moser Halls and we provide the lock. A $25 one-time locker fee for the year is required and is payable by cash, check, credit card, or Pete’s Points. You must present your valid YSU Student ID and complete a Locker Registration Form.
Remember to renew your locker in April for the upcoming academic year. You will need to revisit Penguin Xing to complete a Locker Renewal Form and pay your locker fee for the new year. If you choose not to retain your campus locker, it must be vacated by mid-May. All items found in those lockers not renewed will be discarded or given to local charities. Refer to your locker agreement for the exact date that your locker must be cleaned out or contact us at 330-941-3516.

The Penguin Xing is YSU’s official lost and found. Items that were lost anywhere on campus can turn up here. All items are logged in at YSU Info and held throughout the semester. Valuable items such as wallets and purses are logged and then sent directly to the YSU Police Station.
All items FOUND that are not claimed by finals week of each semester will be donated to local charities. To inquire about a lost item, call 330.941.3516 or stop at the Penguin Xing counter located on the upper level of Kilcawley Center.
The Kilcawley Resume and Typing Service is not only FAST, but is CHEAP as well! Our prices are so reasonable they’re downright ridiculous! Your paper will be ready within 24 hours on weekdays. The Kilcawley Resume and Typing Service is available to all students, faculty, and staff with a current, valid YSU ID.
To receive an estimate on your term paper, resume, letter, or business form, stop at the Penguin Xing counter, located on the upper level of Kilcawley Center. All typing service orders must be paid at the time the order is placed. Cash, check, credit card, and Pete’s Points are accepted. $25 minimum for all credit transactions.
Your resume will be stored and kept on file for up to six months from the date the order is placed.

At the PC Lab students can find popular software programs and access to the internet.
The Penguin Xing has sixteen personal computers with Internet access available for student, faculty, and staff use. The PC Lab was named the Theta Chi Computer Lab and dedicated to the fraternity’s alumni. There are also eleven PC’s with Internet access in the adjacent Watson-Tressel Reading Lounge. The computers in both locations are available year-round during YSU Info’s hours.
Our student staff is available to answer questions and help you with using the software on the lab’s PC’s. Popular software programs on the PC’s include: Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office 2016, Adobe Reader, Quicktime, and Mozilla Firefox.
Printing is available in black/white at a cost of 10¢ a page and color at 25¢ a page. All printouts are picked up at the YSU Info counter. You can now print at our lab using your YSU 500 print. 1 YSU credit for black & white, 3 YSU credits for a color print.
Penguin Xing is your new destination for taking your photo for your ID. Our hours of operation for photo ID's is Monday – Friday 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. during semesters and Monday – Friday 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. during breaks.
If you lost your ID a new one will cost $25.
Meal Plans are for Everyone– Resident Students AND Commuters, too!
YSU Dining by Chartwells is committed to providing culinary offerings to meet a variety of dietary preferences, and our food is prepared by highly-trained staff and professional chefs. Purchasing a meal plan makes enjoying the variety easy! Students, faculty and staff can purchase meal plans through our card office which is located at Penguin Xing on the second floor. Meal plans make paying for your breakfast, lunch and dinner as easy as a swipe of your YSU ID.
If you live in a YSU residence hall (excluding Weller House), a Meal Plan is included in your room and board. During the Housing sign-up process you will have the opportunity to select your meal plan. For freshmen, the resident dining plans are your choice of either 12 or 8 meals per week for use in the dining hall, with Flex Dollars (used at any Chartwells dining location) and Pete’s Points for dining anywhere on campus and some off-campus locations. These plans were designed to give our students the most flexibility and variety possible.
No matter how much time you spend on campus, YSU Dining has a Meal Plan perfect for you! Meal Plans are convenient for students living off campus or in the nearby apartments. We offer great flexibility in Meal Plans for Commuters, ranging from smaller plans to more extensive ones for those who eat most meals on campus. The resident Meal Plans (above) are available to all interested students, as are these other plans. Some plans offer bonus incentives for signing up! Meal Plans are per semester.
