You are allowed to take up to 30 credits a year under College Credit Plus. This includes summer semester.
We strongly encourage you to discuss your high school schedule with your school counselor prior to scheduling for summer courses. Students who need to maintain eligibility for athletics or extracurricular activities may need to make adjustments to their high school and/or college schedule in fall or spring semester.
Please pay close attention to the YSU academic calendar when scheduling summer courses. There are start dates in May that may overlap or conflict with your HS schedule. We also have five "parts of term": 6-8 week long classes with various start and end dates. Note: The shorter the term, the longer the class time is each day it meets.
If you are scheduled, or anticipated, to graduate in May or June of this academic year, you are not eligible to take summer classes under College Credit Plus.
