The mentorship process begins with New Faculty Orientation, and continues throughout professional life at YSU. Individual mentorship is part of a larger "culture of mentorship," and may take on many different forms.
Departments must decide which mentorship model best suits their unique needs, and include mentoring in their governance documents.
First year faculty receive additional mentorship through the YSU Faculty Mentors program, where selected senior faculty members are paired with mentees.
If you are interested in becoming a faculty mentor or mentee, contact Cary Wecht.
